Saturday 12th July

Next week, I will be competing in the English PGA Championship at Bowood Golf Club in Bath. This three-round tournament features a cut after the second round and includes a field of 144 players. The event kicks off on Tuesday, the 15th, and I feel confident heading into it, as my practice sessions have been going well. Due to my absence next week, there will be no group lessons.

Women in Golf

In light of the national decline in female golf membership, Thetford Golf Club is committed to increasing participation among women. We are organising group lessons designed to provide a welcoming and relaxed environment for ladies to experience golf, ultimately paving the way for them to become members. To facilitate this initiative, we kindly request donations of any spare ladies’ or senior golf clubs you may have. Items such as irons, woods, drivers, and putters would be greatly appreciated. If you have any clubs to spare, please drop them off at the pro shop. Your support will make a significant difference in encouraging more women to take up the sport.

Thank you to those that have donated clubs for our women’s sessions coming up.

Junior Group Lessons

Sunday 13th July

Charlie will be running the Junior Group Lessons this week.

9am – 10am – 5-9 Year Olds – Pitching

10am – 11am – 10-17 Year Olds – Pitching

Cost is £7.50 per junior.

The junior group lessons are a great way for your children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews to get into golf. They provide a safe and fun learning experience, and is a great way to get them into golf!

We have clubs for them to use at no extra cost! It would be great to see as many juniors as we can.
